Fédération de Karaté Shintani Wado Kaï SWKKF La Fédération de Karaté Shintani Wado Kai (SWKKF) a été fondée par Hanshi Masaru Shintani en 1966. Le SWKKF est l'une des plus grandes organisations d'arts martiaux d'un style unique en Amérique du Nord. Le nombre actuel de membres inscrits est d'environ 2500 étudiants avec plus de 400 ceintures noires actives. Les plus fortes densités de membres se trouvent dans le sud de l'Ontario et de l'Alberta, avec une croissance continue en Saskatchewan, au Manitoba, dans les Territoires du Nord-Ouest, en Colombie-Britannique et aux États-Unis. La SWKKF soutient également une équipe nationale pour représenter l'organisation lors de divers tournois à la fois à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de l'organisation. Structure organisationnelle La SWKKF a adopté une approche pratique,structure fonctionnelle qui soutient sa stratégie et sa direction stratégique. Un aspect traite de sa structure hiérarchique et l'autre domaine établit des activités SWKKF désignées. Les membres sont élus à des postes représentatifs au sein de cette structure pour une durée de 4 ans. La dernière élection a eu lieu en 2020. The SWKKF offers classes based on the teachings of World Champion, Bill “Superfoot” Wallace. Classes are conducted by Superfoot Certified Instructors , Sensei Darren Humphries and Sensei Neil Prime. These are on-line classes (via zoom ) and run on Friday nights from 5:00pm Mountain Time / 7:00pm Eastern Time. It is advantageous to have a heavy bag or standup bag for targeting. "C'est ma vie" L'art du Shindo a été développé par Hanshi Masaru Shintani, 10e Dan au début des années 1970. Hanshi Shintani avait fait connaître les méthodes et principes Shindo à Maître Otsuka qui lui a donné son entière approbation. Après avoir eu un rêve dans lequel Hanshi Shintani a vaincu plusieurs épéistes avec l'utilisation d'un bâton court, Hanshi Shintani a commencé à travailler seul pour développer le concept. Les racines de ces bases et d'autres techniques enseignées par Hanshi Shintani remontent à sa formation approfondie en Wado Kai sous la direction de Maître Otsuka.
